GTA 6 Release Date, Time and Pre-Load: What Rockstar Has Confirmed
Search results for GTA 6 are full of confident numbers. This page keeps to what Rockstar's own pages say, and clearly marks what is still unconfirmed.

Facts come from the named sources below. Where a claim is only reported, or rests on one person's account, we say so.
The date and the platforms
Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto VI page shows "Coming November 19, 2026" and lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The page says the game "plays best" on PlayStation 5. It describes the setting as Vice City, USA, with the story stretching across the state of Leonida. The protagonists are Jason and Lucia.
Take-Two repeated the November 19 date in its May and August 2026 earnings reports. The game had earlier been delayed from fall 2025 to May 26, 2026, and then to November 19, 2026.
Pre-load
A banner across Rockstar's site reads "Pre-Load Begins November 10", and a Newswire article dated November 3, 2026 carries the same headline. We could not read the full article body when we checked, so we do not repeat any times, time zones or method details from it. Check the article itself for those.
Some outlets quote a different date, or a start time, based on retailer or press reports. Where those differ from Rockstar, trust Rockstar's page.
What time does GTA 6 unlock?
Rockstar has not stated the unlock hour on the pages we read. Some outlets report that PlayStation Store listings point to a midnight local-time launch worldwide. That is a store-listing inference, not a Rockstar announcement, so treat it as reported and unconfirmed until Rockstar says so.
The safest advice is to pre-load, keep your console connected, and check Rockstar's Newswire on the day.
Reported, not confirmed: a midnight local-time unlock based on PlayStation Store listings.
Editions and bonuses
Rockstar's page lists an Ultimate Edition, described as an exclusive collection of items running through Jason and Lucia's story, and a pre-order bonus called the Vintage Vice City Pack. It also links a collector's box called The Vice City Collection to its store. The page gives no contents or prices for these.
File size, price and PC
File size: a figure of up to 212 GB circulated on a secondary blog, but we found no Rockstar page that states it. Price: press reports quote $79.99 for the standard edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition, but Rockstar's page we read lists no price, so check the store you buy from. PC: Rockstar has not announced a PC version, and reports of a later PC release are unconfirmed.
